Tomić Winery

Discover the Dalmatian wine gem with Tomić winery! Indulge in the flavors of native grape varieties in a breathtaking location in Jelsa's Mina Bay.

The Tomić winery was founded in 1995 by Andro Tomić, believing that the island Hvar, with its native varieties, exceptionally favorable climate, and micro-locations of the vineyards, could restore its old wine reputation.

His cellar is located in a newly built winery on a family property in the bay of Mina in Jelsa, a place with a long viticulture and winemaking tradition.

Tomić winery’s primary goal is to produce top-quality wines and restore the culture of wine drinking.

They pay special attention to producing Prošek – the original Dalmatian dessert wine made from selected and dried grapes of the highest quality native varieties.

Tomić family produces wines from different varieties, both native:

  • Pošip,
  • Bogdanuša,
  • Maraština,
  • Prč,
  • Plavac Mali

And international ones:

  • Cabernet Sauvignon,
  • Merlot,
  • Cabernet Franc,
  • Muscat Yellow.

In the wine cellar, next to the wines that mature in barrique barrels, there is also the Triclinium, a part of the winery made of stone modeled after the ancient Roman dining rooms, intended for visitors to engage in wine tasting and to enjoy wine.
