In 1999, the Josić family from Osijek decided to buy an old wine cellar from 1935.
The restaurant and winery are located in the surroundings of the – surduk, in the idyllic Baranja village of Zmajevac. Sarduk is the Turkish name for a characteristic notch in the hill with gators (wine cellars), buried in the ground, and in which the temperature at all times is between, ideal for aging wines.
For all visitors to the restaurant, Josić winery organizes a free wine tasting in their tasting room and, upon request, a tour through the wine cellars.
Wines are produced from varieties:
- Cabernet Sauvignon,
- Pinot Noir,
- Cabernet Franc,
- Pinot Gris,
- Sauvignon Blanc.
