The Cattunar winery is a family winery rooted for generations in western Istria’s terroir with a viticulture and winemaking tradition.
The property constantly expanded to 56 hectares of vineyards. Most of the vineyard area is planted with native Istrian grape varieties:
Malvasia,
Terana,
Muscat Momjan, and
Muscat Rose,
And other world varieties:
Sauvignon Blanc,
Chardonnay,
Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot.
Their wine cellar, built in 2007, is surrounded by hills where vineyards are located. The entire zone is well exposed, where a large number of sunny hours allow optimal ripening of the grapes, and in this way, they also get top-quality wine.
They organize visits with guided tastings for groups and individuals on prior notice. Tastings consist of a short presentation of the winery, cellar, capacity, style, and type of wine they produce.
